Dr Jean Claude Scicluna MD is a modern physician who loves to challenge the status quo. He's a passionate do-er of things that bring impact.
He brings a diverse portfolio of experience across cardiovascular health, national drug reform, cannabinoid /psychedelic medicines and healthcare technology.
He injects energy and a cool perseverance to his entrepreneurship, as well as a touch of humour.
When he's not inventing, networking or pitching, you'll find JC singing and strumming his guitar for anyone who will listen.

2019
Graduated in medicine and started my foundation posts as a doctor.
2021
Obtained post graduate certification in Pain Management at the University of South Wales.
2021
Followed a Neuroscience PhD research programme under the mentorship of Prof. Giuseppe Di Giovanni.
2016
Founded the Malta Heart Foundation as a medical student.
2021
Founded my own clinic specialising in chronic pain management and holistic wellbeing.
2022
Co-founded Cellotex, a digital health startup geared towards precision plant medicine.
2023
Appointed as the Medical Consultant for ARUC, the Maltese Government Authority on Cannabis reform.

Reestablished a dormant Malta Heart Foundation(VO) based on patient support, cardiac infrastructure, heart health awareness, and cardiac research.
A highlight was installing multiple automated external defibrillators (AEDs) were installed in public spaces around the capacity city, Valletta.
Managed occupational medicine clinics for a 700 strong team across 3 operational plants. I modernised clinic workflows and health data systems, and organised a company-wide wellness programme.

Medical Lead at a digital health startup based in Tel-Aviv. We are working on AI-based closed loop feedback models for medication optimisation.
I drafted policy standards and served as medical consultant for the national authority on cannabis reform, with an emphasis on harm reduction.
